Welcome to LA Fire Rebuild
My name in Jim Fleckenstein.
In 2003 we (and 2200 others) were burned out of our homes in the San Diego Cedar Fire.
I’ve been through the rebuild process, and want to help you with questions you may have.
Download the e-book below - IT’S FREE. In it I explain our story and what we did in the San Diego rebuild.
Hopefully it will be helpful and applicable to you.

This was the early day of digital cameras.

There may be a few typos, please overlook them. I kept giving the same info over and over helping with rebuilds so I decided to compile the advice into one place.
If you want to skip the story and go straight to the rebuild, start at Chapter 6.
I’m happy to speak to any civil group or church for FREE, I don’t charge for the e-book or speaking fees. I know what fire victims are going through and helping people recover is something that gives me purpose.
In person I can explain the rebuild detail in a more individualized manner, and help you prepare for dealing with organization, your insurance company, and lawyers.
Mistakes get made at the start… the vultures will be circling.

Chapter 6
While my recovery was in California and includes issues dealing with the state and Feds, it was over 20 years ago so some of this may be less directly applicable as it was in 2003. But from my experience helping others, most of the problems we went through are the same problems today.
